Seward Bear Glacier Wataer TaxiBear Glacier water taxi transportation service to Bear Glacier and to Bear Glacier Wilderness Retreat for sea kayakers, campers, and hikers. Bear Glacier is located 15 miles south of Seward on the west side of Resurrection Bay. Bear Glacier is the largest glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park and calves into a large lake separated from the Pacific Ocean by a narrow glacier moraine a creating protected sea kayaking paradise.

The departure times very everyday and are timed with the ocean tides. Please email of call for departure times for your date. There is about a 2 hour span on each side of the low tide we cannot go in if the low tide is below 1.5 feet. Please note, you need to plan on arriving at the Seward Small Boat harbor early. It is important that we depart on time so our arrival time at Bear Glacier is at high tide. If you are late arriving at the harbor for the departure time we will consider this as a cancellation and 100% cancellation fee will be charged. No exceptions will be made.

A 2 to 3 day stay is recommended to fully enjoy this sea kayaking and hiking paradise.

Bear Glacier sea kayaking camping package includes water taxi transportation to Bear Glacier, up to the lake above the river current. Camping at Bear Glacier Wilderness Retreat includes a place to set up tents in a electric bear fenced in area. Use of the enclosed sheltered dining area to get out of the elements, and use of a 4 burner propane stove. And your choice of single and double sea kayak use while at Bear Glacier.
