Be greeted by cuddly puppies and share an intimate view of the Alaskan Husky as they explode from the kennel on a training run. Get a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into creating a championship team and carving a life in Alaska's Interior. Hear compelling stories from the trail and see actual racing sleds, arctic survival gear and equipment used to traverse 1100 miles of Alaska's most rugged terrain.

Jeff King is recognized as the "Winningest Musher in the World". His victories include not only the 1,049 mile Iditarod Sled dog race in 1993, 1996, 1998, and 2006, but also over two dozen first place finishes all across Alaska, including the Yukon Quest. During the past 20 years, Jeff has logged more than 100,000 miles on a dog sled.

Dog Sledding Tours in DenaliDonna is a well-known artist whose art portrays her intimate involvement with mushing and her love and respect of nature.

Also included is a kennel of more than 75 friendly, energetic Alaska huskies ready to share with you their enthusiasm for the sport of sled dog racing and love of the outdoors.

Enjoy a warm welcome and experience a true Alaskan lifestyle at Husky Homestead, home of four-time Iditarod dog sled race champion Jeff King.

You'll get an authentic look into rural Alaskan lifestyle and get a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into creating a championship dog sled team.

Husky Homestead buses pick up our guests at Denali area hotels between mile 229 and 239 of the Parks Highway. Pick-up times will vary by location.

We offer three tours daily. Reservations are required for this tour. Tour length is approximately 2.5 hours including transfer time.
ITINERARY **
Three tours are offered daily 8:30am, 12:30pm, and 7:00pm. Tour length is about 2 1/2 hours.

Departure location. Husky Homestead buses pick up guests at Denali area hotels. The pick-up times varies a little depending on which hotel you are staying at.
